RSPCA Volunteers

The RSPCA has been in operation for almost 130 years and our continued success has been made possible with the help of over 3,000 volunteers who give their time so very generously. As a charity, the assistance of volunteers is vital in ensuring that we can offer our important services to the community.

Many people don't realise that the RSPCA offers a range of areas in which to volunteer, so consider becoming a volunteer of the RSPCA as your contribution is so very valuable.

There are many areas that the RSPCA requires volunteers including working directly with the animals, office work, fundraising and maintenance work. Some volunteers help out occasionally, whilst others pop in on a more permanent basis.

Please note that due to the number of volunteers at the RSPCA, we have a Volunteer Policy that you will need to sign prior to commencing. Due to insurance policy restrictions, we are unable to take volunteers under 18 years of age, however, our special events public liability insurance enables younger people to take part in key fundraising events.
