REPORTING ANIMAL CRUELTY

Report of mistreatment or injured and sick animals within both metropolitan and rural areas can be made by telephone, letter, email or a personal visit to RSPCA Headquarters from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. All reports are confidential and will be passed on to an RSPCA Inspector to investigate.

Reports of cruelty should not be made out of these hours unless immediate action needs to be taken to relive the pain and suffer of the animal.

If you have made a report to the RSPCA and are not satisfied with how that report has been handled, or if you have been the subject of a report and wish to lodge a complaint, your options include:

Writing to the Minister for Environment and Conservation, Hon Gail Gago MLC, GPO Box 1047, Adelaide SA 5001.

Lodging a complaint with the State Ombudsman by phone on 8226 8699; email at contact@ombudsman.sa.gov.au; or letter to SA Ombudsman, Level 5 East Wing, 50 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000.
